Parts of his childhood were spent in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where his father's family was at the time, and in Stratford, Connecticut. Those floated up in the mix along the way ha ha! It always causes me to spend a good deal of time after a read like these just considering how the reality of the work is so different from preconception.

I mean, you've heard the Dracula story all your life, seen the endless parade of cartoonist parodies. But the actual original work I remember reading The Raven as a boy and many other Poe nightmare makers and being scared to freakin death every time my house creaked.
